Description

Compatible with both PVC and CPVC piping, Weld-On 790 Multi-Purpose Solvent Cement offers versatility to contractors working with diverse piping systems. This pipe cement creates a deep, high-contact fusion between pipes and fittings with an interference fit up to a 6-inch diameter and is suitable for all classes and schedules of rigid PVC and CPVC (including Schedule 80 up to a 4-inch diameter). The light amber PVC and CPVC cement excels across a range of applications, including irrigation sprinklers, plumbing systems, and conduit. And thanks to its medium-bodied viscosity and fast relative set time, this solvent cement applies smoothly and sets quickly to facilitate efficient PVC and CPVC welding. Weld-On 790 should not be used as a transition cement between dissimilar materials (e.g. PVC and CPVC or ABS and PVC). It is also not suitable for applications requiring potable water, DWV (drain, waste, and vent), or sewer waste listed products per the plumbing and building codes. Refer to the pipe and fittings manufacturer’s instruction and the local plumbing and building codes for appropriate cement use. A preferred choice of contractors worldwide, Weld-On solvent cements are recognized globally for their industry-leading strength and ease-of-use.
  • Medium-bodied, fast-setting, low-VOC multi-purpose cement for all classes and schedules with interference fit through 6" (160 mm) diameter, schedule 80 through 4" (110 mm) diameter
  • High-strength light amber PVC and CPVC cement applies smoothly and sets quickly
  • Low-VOC formula reduces solvent emissions for a better working environment
  • Compatible with all rigid PVC and CPVC pipes and fittings up to 6 inches and up to 4 inches Schedule 80; not for transition use between dissimilar materials
  • Meets SCAQMD Rule 1168/316A, NSF/ANSI 14 performance specifications; contributes toward satisfying Indoor Environmental Quality credits (IEQ credit 4.1) for LEED v4
